Weldon Angelos was sentenced to 55 years in prison in 2003 because of mandatory minimums in a marijuana related case. His sentenced has since been reduced and was released from prison in May 2016. Now that Weldon is free, he advocates for criminal justice reform on a national level so that one day nobody will have part of their life taken from them over a nonviolent crime the way he did.

He joins MilLiberty this week to talk about his story and experience with the criminal justice system and what he’s doing today to reform it.
